All Saints Hanworth
This remarkable concrete and brick Church, with its huge arches criss-crossing the nave and supporting a glorious coloured-glass lantern above, was designed by Nugent Cachemaille-Day and completed in 1952. Hugh has been appointed as the quinquennial inspecting architect for the church whose future, as envisaged by the enthusiastic and PCC, involves not only a good deal of restoration and repair but also the provision of much needed facilities such as a community hub and coffee shop, spaces for meeting and counselling and a garden of contemplation. We are assisting grant applications and funding arrangements and at the same time we are overseeing the restoration and upgrading of the fabric, insulation and mechanical services of the building.
